Start-up of the lift truck industry
Korea’s initial home-based lift truck marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. began to import assembled lift trucks as part of a national machinery expansion project. Initial product sales of this manufacturing equipment focused on large business groups, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This eventually led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced trade operations throughout Korea to service and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical instruction became the new focus for improving quality and product development.
Propane lift truck effectiveness is relatively impressive since the cylinders containing propane could easily be replaced and the machine could get back to work without losing much "downtime". It is unlike the electric lift truck where extra batteries must be bought to be utilized while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time and 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
In view of the fact that the fuel system of the propane forklift is sealed; it is far safer to function compared to different models of forklift. The fuel cylinders are sealed to ensure optimum safety and should adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas also functions with less energy than CNG gas, so, if any accident happens, there is a system where the fuel is shut off. This significantly lessens the probable danger and damage that can occur. Refilling options are likewise beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel elsewhere, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling could be done on site instead.
